[Background music: Stop & Stare] Salaam peeps!
I was at Miri Airport yesterday (Apr 4), waiting for my flight back to Kuching. Miri is another city that I am fond of. A city that is close to few beautiful beaches. Yesterday (Thursday) afternoon, after the meeting, I met Niza, my long lost best friend who is now residing in Miri. We met up at one KFC Restaurant nearby my hotel and did a lotta catching up. Three hours seemed to fly very fast and we had to depart as my colleagues were already at the Lobby for our dinner at Seahorse. The cool restaurant which combined good old 70s-80s rock music, good outdoors styled makan place and okay tasted seafood. I had good company as I get to know our customers here, one Grace and one Eric. I’ve already made friends with both of them, Grace for example, asked me to call her if I want to go to Bario, for jungle trekking and buying that famous Bario rice! Coolness, huh?
Anyho, after dinner, all 15 of us except Grace, went for a good two games of bowling. I haven’t played for quite a while, little that I knew that I can beat my Boss’ score during the second game. Heheheh…I wish Piko was there to witness my score~@! Huhuhuh..miss my lil adik so much!
We went for another outdoor minum cum borak session near Al Fresco/ Cheery Berries outlet. I remembered this place so well where Niza took me last year with Mira and Nini. Jay taught that went I said I love Seahorse with its ambient and music that I would love Al Fresco too (READ: enjoying the live band INSIDE the pub!). Huhuhu…Lucky aku cakap, no lah Jay, I just love the music, not the ambience there. It will choke me to death and besides, I can’t stand the smell in there. I hope he will understand. Susah wooo mahu jaga syariat if we tend to be okay the first time. So, better cakap siang siang sama mereka. Baru diorang tahu cemana Orang Islam jaga syariat. Sayang agama, sayang Allah dan Rasullulah.
Due to lethargy, as my boss put to me last night, “I think you tried so hard, la!” I nearly fell asleep while the rest of the boys borak and minum. The cafĂ© latte didn’t help me much to stay awake. Nel and Ki, the other gals were as restless as me. If only I had my Greenie (my Ride in Kuching) that night we would definitely retired earlier at our cozy queen sized bed!
I woke up automatically around 4am just to shut down the Al Quran mp3 that were played since I tried to shut my eyes, only to wake up again around 6am for Subuh! I was surprised to see the sky as bright as 7am and realized that Syuruk here was at 622am! Gilak. Kelam kabut aku bah!
Tried to shut my eyes again (yeah I love sleeping) and woke up at 720am for mandi and buffet breakfast with Nel and Ki. Hj. Said was there and promised to take us to find bubuk or what the Semenanjung people call as udang geragau. He took us to Miri office first and then to Lutong. I was in awe looking at the fresh tenggiri batang price and the freshness of them! Huhuhu…kalau ada orang ramai di rumah mesti aku dah beli. Pakkal dapur pun takde lagi.
In one Tamu nearby Lutong, I bought a bottle of madu hutan and 2 packets of dried bubuk. The bubuk will be posted to KL for mama and nenek. Encik Abang did call and sempat pull my leg. This is his hobby that I treasured so much. Sampai merajuk aku, pastu dia pujuk, aku buat dek..end up aku pujuk dia balik sebab aku tak layan dia. Hehehe…
Sedari dulu dia memang suka nyakat aku. Tapi bukan tu aje yang buat aku sukak samak dia. He is witty. Apa apa hal antara aku dan dia, ada Allah. Aku suka dia kerana Allah Taala. Itu aje. Ada rezeki aku dengan dia, adalah. Kalau takde, there's always oghang Melanau sinik. Hemsem hemsem bah.
Will continue on my blogging about The Spring, Kuching~@!
