.:Harry Potter:.

Last night I went to TGV alone, out of boredom and enthusiasm of Harry Potter's movie hype. Well, okay after much persuasion and free promo from Effi. Anyho, I just gambled the tix availability since its school holiday now. Clocked out from the office 5 minutes to 6 and wallah! I reached OU by 625 pm. Not bad at all. It was raining quite heavily and to my pleasant surprise there are still loads of tix available. Heck! I just wanna see how good a storybook is featured in a 90 minutes movie. No big deal la (anyho, the tix are priced at RM7 for Ladies' Tuesday Special).

The movie started at 7 pm as expected eventhough the tix printed 645 pm. Luckily I was still on my red flag period ahahah (so no need to solat ler)...already bought 2 pieces of crunchy popias downstairs for my dinner during movie. ehehe excuse me...shall I blame TGV for not selling good food instead of that snacks? ehehhe...poor gal next to me, she kept touching her nose whenever I opened up my popia package. Yeah bet that crunchy shrimp poked into your nostrils huh? Sorry ler tak ajak sekali makan...

Anyho, the movie started with showing Tom Riddle's (of course you know who if you read, kan)grave to an old house where that Wormtail revived his master, Voldemort. Exactly in the book, ok? It showed how the housekeeper was murdered, "abradacabra!"<----one of the three unforgivable curses, Nagini and Barty Crouch Junior. Well...it was "ok" presented in a movie, a lil this and that...but hell! I still prefer the book. I bet if they really utilise the content of the book (Goblet of Fire) , I prefer it to be shown in series instead! yeah...series should be well appropriate rather than movies! bah! oh well....in the book you can really feel how grand The Quidditch World Cup was...how Krum kissed Hermione (which was not shown in the movie), how Harry loves Cho Chang, how he was jealous of Cedric...how Prof. Moody taught the kids to handle defense of the dark arts magic bladibla...(can I say the movie was like potong stim? uhuhuh)

I was perplexed to hear some "oohhhhhs and ahhhhsss" in the movie, like when Potter & the gang came to a small tent, the tent's inside was actually a huge place consisted of dining, kitchen, living and rooms. Obviously these people doesn't read innit? There just came for "the Movie" not for Harry Potter series per se. well...they can't really get the gist of it, just like when you watched Revenge of The Sith without knowing its movies previously (the first trilogy, then the modern ones such as The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones), or watching LOTR and gave it a bad review just because you can't understand the whole "cause" of the precious ring and friendship. Or understanding why Matrix trilogy was damn cool...hmm..yeah me a typical movie buff uhuhu...

So a piece of advice -
Go and read a lil background first if you happen to wanna watch and follow the trend of watching *book movies* or trilogy or anything to do with printed reading materials, ok? It won't hurt. Well, I'm looking forward to Memoirs of a Geisha directed by Steven Spielberg next! Eventhough I know how slow-paced the book was (yeah I read it half maybe quarter way), I brace to re-read the book again. Just because of this movie. I bet, the story itself will be featured better in silver screen cos Spielberg roks!!

To conclude in a movie kinda review, Goblet of Fire is better than last year's Prisoner's of Azkaban. Seriously...the CG, the whole lot's expressions (heck i love the twins!) and storyline (yeah the so-called *gist* are well captured), the action bladibla. But to a bookworm's point of view, well, nothing is as satiable as *reading* of course muehehhe...
