+..Istidraj..+

The Jews, laknatullahalaih.

They have been oppressed for so long.
Since the days of glory of the babylon king, king nabuchenedzar, who kicked them out from their own country. Hitler the well known Schindlers List, etc. During the reign of the Pharoahs, they have been badly treated as slaves, etc just to cut it short they have been unjustly victims of oppressions. This is due to their own wrongdoings, since they, the Jews themselves are transgressors. God sent them many prophets, Moses A.S. being one of them, a Prophet so close to God he did not need any medium to interact/communicate with God.

The Jews was then saved from the Pharoah, which i believe Ramses the 2nd, and they were led by Moses a.s. thru the red sea. And I’m sure all of you know the story, the Pharoah and his army didn’t make it through....

God showed the Jews a little of His power. By splitting the red sea when they reached to the other side, they had no food to eat, but God sent down food from heaven , "mann and salwa". WIth all the miracles of God being showed to them, they were still reluctant to fight for Moses a.s. when they were asked to fight, but they were also promised victory, to take over the "Promised Land" which was Palestine.

But they refused, showing the level of faith they have towards God and His prophet.
They said to Moses," You go and fight with your God, when you win, we will join you."
There was a time when Moses a.s. went to a hill to meditate for 40 days, while waiting for the Taurah to be sent down from Heaven as promised, all it took was a statue of a cow, for them to become non-believers again.

Yes the "Promised Land" was originally for the Jews.
And yes they were the "Chosen Ones", but not after they betrayed God, when God has shown them His Mercy. So many prophets and miracles were sent for them, and yet, they still worshipped statues.

Don't be fooled by their worldly gains and successes. For they are only "istidraj".
The Prophet Muhammad pbuh said: "When you see anyone enjoying the bounties of this world in spite of his evil deeds, then (let it be known that) that is 'istidraj"
(i.e. postponement of punishment from Allah like a rope with which he is allowed to hang himself)"

So when they forgot (At the warning) with which they had been reminded, we opened to them the gates of (pleasant) thing, until in the midst of their enjoyment in that which they were given, all of a sudden, we took them to punishment and lo! They were plunged into destruction with deep regrets and sorrows." Surah Al-Anaam verse 44

And that is promise from God.
The Jews do what they do because its in their blood. They are the natural transgressors.
