Yesterday was another personal achievement for me. I've eliminated my most feared factor of drowning in water. I used to drowned when I was a kid. Til then, I avoided pools and rivers and seas.
But hey! My swimming lessons did pay off. Finally I did my water confidence under my laverlay *lou-sher's* supervision. Well, we floated and we swam, eventhough at first I was a bit reluctant to let my hand off from the wall.
Swimming and breathing techniques were what counted for a good swimmer. I did a few laps and panted half-way first before I finally regained my full confidence. Yay me! It felt good to finally eliminated that fear. It felt good to swim a good 10-feet-height pool, compared to the open 5-feet-pool previously.
Today, all 11 of us will be tested by lou-sher. Can't wait to proceed to my next intermediate and advance levels for free-style, butterfly and back stroke.
If only my lovelife can be as fulfilling as my swimming lessons, wouldn't it be good? Well, what I meant, as smooth sailing as my swimming lessons, it would be a lifetime achievement indeed...
Note to self:
U won't sink in the water if you keep some breath, breathe in your mouth and breathe out tru your nose. Ha ha.
