.::depression mode::.

Friday is the day that I am
supposed to celebrate as it signifies the coming of
THE weekend for me to unwind
and do my weekend chores.

Today, it happened contradictorily. Primarily, the horrifying traffic jam made me arrived late to work. I was supposed to attend our office’s assembly with the President, as we would like to know the status of the acclaimed *bonus*, a bogus bonus as I put it. It is very depressing to note that as a GLC organisation, at least a month bonus is at least *sufficient*. Instead, he was disclosing only those who are excellent be rewarded the two-month bonus and the non-achievers will get from 0.5% - 2% respectively. Unlike last year’s bonus, everybody received a minimum RM1, 000.00 bonuses or a month’s salary. What is more depressing, our *advance* bonus last January will soon be deducted on monthly basis due to this announcement. Yes. You guessed it right. It was not a bonus but merely an interest-free loan. So there goes my hope to pay the yearly car’s insurance (which unfortunately, I have to pay in full – thank you to Mr. Knock- My-Obit and burned my 38.33 percent NCB).

I guessed I worried too much. Despite all these depressions, I should have been more thankful. At least, I am working, making ends meet to only myself; enough to pay my bills, the petrol (with the 10 sen increase in price), tolls, and eat only when I feel like eating. I cannot imagine having kids with *just* enough money for my own. I was nearly laughing it out loud when *somebody in govt* made an analogy of UK’s petrol price in ringgit (RM7 a litre) which is far more expensive then the RM1.48 a litre here – to make a point that our petrol price hike is the lowest in the region (what the ****ing region?). Is he blind to think that we learned the *nisbah and peratus* during our school time? In UK, they are earning in pounds and we, sadly in ringgit. Say in UK, they are earning in £2,000, but the fact that they only have to pay 81 pence a litre. Unlike here, earning in RM2, 000 but have to pay RM1.48 per litre. Sheesh! A stat that only took into account the petrol pricing but hiding the actual earning? For me this is total BULL.

Yes. Today is my depression day, and I cannot help feeling sorry to adik Hafizal who was jailed just because he chose to make ends meet for the family instead of NS. In addition, how comical it was to read that a non-UMNO Malay received an award for contributing to the DEB policy? Does this shows that it's better to *not* join umno? Does DEB benefits bumiputra or umnoputra? Moreover, why does a state as small as Perlis, unable to do anything for the betterment of a single mother, and that her eldest son had to quit schooling *just* because they are hard-core poor family? You do all those glam bling bling extravagant stuff for NAM, and look here, at this tiny state in our own backyard, somebody is actually living “kais pagi makan pagi, kais petang makan petang”? Yeah, do not forget, how it saddens me to see the Merbau tree in Perak’s forest to be cut down!

Hmm…enough rants. Maybe you will say all those worries are beyond my controls. I could not help but to link all these scenarios to my daily life. Pity that I am in this system, which we voted and we chose with our own free will. Pity me.

~the rich gets richer, the poor gets poorer~
It is indeed towards the end…am too paranoia.
