::about a card::

Prologue

Wednesday, March 2.

Time clocked 1-ish in the afternoon. I was busy with loads of work. I was too lazy to go out as the day was blazingly hot. I decided to go out with two colleagues to the office cafeteria, which serves boring food and stuff. Not to my surprise the food there was nearly finished even though it was just 1:15 p.m.

Then I thought of the new 7E store that has just opened its franchise at Sect.3. For now my taste buds only craved for that simple Maggi Curry. So there I went and bought it, then I just realized that I only had less than RM5 for the rest of the week. I headed towards Caltex nearby for the ATM kiosk. I need money. I can’t live without money and I can’t use cards for my chicken tom yam, telur dadar and limau suam. My usual weekdays lunch. So there I was, queuing and waiting rather coolly. .There were about 5 customers in front of me. When it was my turn, slotted the card and the screen blinked:

“ There is a problem processing your card. Please contact your nearest ***bank for assistance “

f@#*! I waited for another minute in order to slot it in again. Then the screen blinked:

“ This machine is temporarily out of service. Thank you “

Double f&^@!! Okay!! argHHhhhhhh!!!...

I was with no money, the gas ran low, and now my card has been eaten up! What worse can it be now?

::Part one::

Back in the office, I tried to call the bank's Cust. Service. After so many calls, they finally picked up and I complained about the incident. They asked me to call the HQ here in Shah Alam, as the ATM was under the HQ’s maintenance.

I called…

Truuut tuuutttt
Truuuttt tuuttttt…
Truttt tuttttt…

For more than 10 times, okay? Then finally on the eleventh, it was picked by a man.

"Hello..."
"Hello, saya nak laporkan kad ATM saya kena telan..."
"owh, cik, sebenarnya ada number direct line dia utk cik laporkan ATM tu, this is the number 55199827- bercakap dgn Encik Azmi atau Cik Saadah, ye"
"dah lama saya call ni tak berjawab..."
" maaf cik, kami agak sibuk pada waktu ni sbb ada launching. takpe nanti saya sambungkan, kalau putus ke apa cik dial nombor tadi ye"

lalallala (20 sen)

and the line was not answered..

Eventually I dialled the given number.....rang for ages, and ages....and ages....then the woman who finally picked the phone let me listened to every single work they did...i puzzled and wondered on what happened? then she asked me to whom i'd like to speak to...

bahhh! this is wayyyyy too much, ok! i was talking very cautiously as if my blood was carefully boiled to its maximum...waiting to explode anytime...

"May I speak to En. Azmi, please....?" <---------with added creamer and artificial sugar to taste "En. Azmi is quite busy, can I know who's calling?"
" this is (me), pertaining to my ATM card. saya nak cakap dgn Encik Azmi jugak..."

On the phone, to my disbelief, the woman was jeering and mocking my words!!

"saya nak cakap ngan Cik Azmi jugekkkkkk" kok ye pon you can always turn the mute on!!

so, apa lagi darah yg dah membuak2 panasnya pun meletup la!!!

" WHAT?!!! I HEARD THAT!!!!" aku rasa lah, kalau minah tu ada depan muka aku neh mau kena penumbuk aku kot... So, tanpa rasa malu, the woman quickly picked up the phone and said "Encik Azmi on the way eh, tunggu.."

F%$W###@$$KK YOUR @55 WOMAN!!! mmg aku sangat marah yg membuak2...pedulik la korang nak kata apa...but my patient do have its limitation, ok? the rest...aku malas la nak ceta...cos i was totally blown up..erupted to max and huh! kalau ada missile mmg aku dah tembak ***bank Shah Alam tu..!!!

::Part Two::

after 3 days, accidentally, after i stumbled upon the ATM's sub-con maintenance people who are repairing the machine (the same kiosk that telan my kad), i learned that my card was already being sent to the HQ.

Called Encik Azmi, and he asked me to collect the card next week. but i said, i really need my card urgently. After much persuasions and explainations, he asked me to collect it during that day (Friday) tru the back office since it just 5 mins passed their closing time. The guards were extremely friendly and helpful. But the frontliners a.ka. the counter gals were so rude, sour-faced and so not professional in doing their work...they asked for my IC macammana tau?

" IC!!" then campak buku register nama in front of me...
padan muka buku tu tergolek golek...kasar sangat budak pompan nehhh kecikkkkkk je aku tengok!

But kenapa aku ni baik sangat tak tegur perangai "sopan santun gadis melayu berbaju kurung and bertudung" ini dan rakan2nya (yg pada aku jelas tgh mengumpat psl aku - u'll know it)...instead of making a scene there, i said,"terima kasih ya!" - even though she gave me my IC and ATM without even looking at MY FACE? Without even greeting me with anything...? such poor service by Malaysia's "renown" bank, huh? sibbaik ler we don't have to pay for its online application...! dahla kena bayar 50 sen each time after 4 transactions with the ATM!! bahhhh!!! tension ako! aku nak report pasal bank nehhh..jaga korang!!! wekk wekkkk!!!
