+..My Mandatory Medical Check-up..+

I was supposed to fast 8 hrs prior to today's Med Check up.

545 am
I woke up this morning determined hard NOT to eat my mom's hot cooked breakfast. From my room I can sweetly smelled some kinda Nasi Lemak with Sambal Udang. Tummy churned and turned up side-down. I took my time to bathe, scrub my face with those whitening-enhanced facial care and cream, rub Nivea's anti-celullite over the you-know-where areas, performed my morning prayer, wore my office suit and did my make-up still thinking of NOT wanting to eat breakfast. NAY! I will NOT.

I went to our dining area when mom happily announced, "You should try my mee soup! I used 100% Muslim produced, 100% halalan toyyibba! mee and prawn balls"
" Err...ma, I'm suppose to fast, to do my Medical check-up this morning..."
"Then you should try to taste a little bit..."

Since its my mom's first cooked mee soup (on the past, as opposed to mee which tasted bitter and yucky, we only eat meehoon), then I said to myself, well, it doesn't hurt to taste a little bit, with its nice and rubbery prawn ball, and delicious sawi, the soup tasted so-oo heavenly!!

I finished the whole bowl!! Oh-oh I might flop my check-up!

840 am:
I re-measure my height. Something must not seemed right, how come I shrunk 2cm?
The Medical Team measure my weight, my Visceral Fat, my Body Fat, BMI and BMR all in one machine that resembled the one I used before
[CLICK for re-cap].

The result made me brimmed with smile all over my face. My 1 month of fasting + exercise + food intake control all over Raya and now already in December, I managed to reduce 5 kilos. All I need to do is to reduce another 2 kilos to achieve my ideal weight!! I was right, I don't need any Marie-France kinda service. I can do it on my own. My VFat was reduced from 7 to 5 and my Basal Metabolic Rate, sadly unlike all those slim figured people is just 1215 kcal. I wish I had more than normal BMR, like Kama. He has 1574 kcal BMR. I was green with envy. Some people just born to be slim!

I was more than happy when my blood pressure reading is optimal. Well, I guess I have to thank my low blood pressure, hehehe.

Amazingly, my glucose level is so low than its normal level. It is 2.8 compared to 4.4 even after eating my mom's mee soup! So that means, I'm hypoglicemic which is not that good. My bad cholesterol (tri-glyserides) level is also as bad as the name suggested - 2.55!! Compared to less than the supposedly normal reference of 1.7 uhuhuhu what should I do? My cholesterol level is 4.8, nearing the 5.2 level. I'm in danger!

I'm more determined to shed a coupla kilos now. To prove that I CAN slim down without needing to pay a hefty sum at slimming centres. To show to B that I walk the talk(umm, I accidentally boasted to him that I can slim down by year end since June 2006). I should also consult my GP to advise on how to achieve a healthier body. Slimming down per se doesn't portray your total health. You might have a slimmer bod but...bear in mind the culprits that may bring major illnesses such as your cholesterol and tri-g level, VFat and your blood pressure. These were just few *signs* to watch.

My concerns goes to B, too. Being a lawyer is stressful enough, he is also a heavy smoker (thank God not a chain smoker). But still..and plus he's lil bump infront ahahah!...Need to flatten that up chum!

So there you go...
The results of my 1 month's diet result. As my collegues were saying,
"5 kilo shed in a month is very good. The hardest challenge you will face is to maintain your weight at its ideal...I'm just afraid you might have a yo-yo effect afterwards..."
and I was...

Chaiyuk! Chaiyuk! I can do it...reduce and maintain! Go Go Moi~@!
