Case 2:
My Boss need motivation? Hey! U bet! All four of us did our lunch together and had an open discussion on what was really transpired. The day before, thanks to that LoudMouth, I got to know his intention and immediately sent him an sms asking him to tell the truth (rather than hearing it from non-related sources). We observed that the boss was stressed due to internal PLUS external conflicts that came from work and personal stuff.
So when I said, “I think things will be okay once you get to settle your external things. You are stressed cause’ you never confide in us, your aides…you do everything on your own, keep it to yourself without pouring it out. That was why you are sickly, can't sleep at night and stressful. That was why you told us you were not fit to be our Boss.”
The boss was quite shocked when I said this. When we said we need a leader who leads, who protects and with a charismatic figure, we don’t intend to accept another “boss” who lax leadership quality, who was indecisive, who don’t have the vision and doesn’t know what to do, who only craves for personal gain, not what the team gains. That was when Fozz pleaded that if the Boss wants out; she opted to go as well. The same went to Kama and me. We never knew he had this Big Issue, not until LoudMouth told me (from her lame-o Boss).
Fortunately, when we had this kind of heart to heart discussion, the boss mellowed and said that we need to tell the ED. Once we had the green light from him, Fozz, Kama & I went to see the ED. We told him that we need our current Boss as he knew how to lead. We also told ED that we want our Boss to continue what we have already started as a team. After all, we only started as a team of new section for 5 farking months. He was the best for our section thus far and we don’t need a new Boss to replace him. My ED was surprised by our section's intention. I think that was the first by pleading for our Boss to be retained...hmm...
